Sports Event Attendant (4041)

CLASS CONCEPT

Under supervision, Sports Event Attendants collect tickets, sell tickets, and
usher at campus sports events; and perform other related duties as required.

Incumbents typically work at sports events such as football, basketball, track,
baseball, and gymnastics that attract relatively large numbers of students,
faculty, staff and the general public as paying and non-paying attendees; sell
and/or collect tickets as necessary; assist in directing attendees to their
proper seat locations; assist in maintaining order at sports events and assist
in the opening and securing of campus facilities used for the sports events.
Incumbents may collect funds at ticket booths and may be assigned 
responsibility for reconciling funds collected with the number of tickets 
sold.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read, write, perform mathematical calculations, and follow oral and
written instructions; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful
performance of the duties assigned to the position.
