CLASS CONCEPT

Under general direction, incumbents examine students or patients to 
determine whether they meet the requirements of the University's Medical 
Examination Program.  Examining Physicians give physical examinations to 
students or patients; request the assistance of specialists as 
necessary, recommend necessary diagnostic work-ups, complete 
required records, and perform other related duties as required.

                    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a license issued by the California Board of Medical 
Quality Assurance to practice as a physician or surgeon; and knowledges 
and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties 
assigned to the position.
