SERIES CONCEPT

Incumbents typically administer a wide variety of audiometric tents
which are designed to determine the patient's bearing level, to assist
in the identification of sites of damage to the auditory system, to
describe the amount of social disabilities resulting from the hearing
loss, and to indicate potential benefits from medical treatment and
surgery, the use of a hearing aid, and/or special training; and relate
audiometric results with other diagnostic data such as educational,
medical, social and behavioral information.
